Braun Products
Max Braun opened his small engineering shop in 1921 and began producing components for radios. The company was known for its innovative use of plastics in the production of radio parts and quickly grew in size.
In 1929 Braun began to produce entire radios rather than just components and continued to add products by selling the first combined radio and phonograph in 1932. In 1935 Braun introduced its iconic logo with the raised A. Max Braun was given a special award for phonography at the 1937 worlds fair in Paris. Three years after that the company had grown to over 1000 employees.
Braun continued its production of Hi-Fidelity audio equipment and introduced film slide projectors which quickly became one of the most popular products in production at the time. In the 1950's Braun introduced their automatic tray slide projector which was an inline tray rather than a carousel type which allowed for a much more compact projector.
The 1950's was also the time that Braun added what was to become their most popular product, the electric shaver. The S 50 model had a steel foil mounted above an oscillating blade which is still a design used in many Braun products sold today. Braun has continued manufacturing Electric Shavers and added many consumer products to their line.
From shavers, trimmers, epilators and toothbrushes Braun products have expanded to include health and fitness products and other household goods. Products ranging from thermometers and blood pressure monitors, clocks and watches to kitchen appliances. The list of products is much longer than we are able to go into here Braun manufactures products for home and industry use and is known for producing a quality product at competitive prices.
